🎵 Clarinet Online Workshop 🎵 Learn through a clarinet competition set piece Online Workshop: Lancelot’s *21 Etudes* We will focus on No. 7 and No. 9 from Jacques Lancelot’s *21 Etudes*, which were previously selected as set pieces for the Junior A Division (ages 13 and under) of the 15th Young Clarinetists Competition, organized by the Japan Clarinet Association. Although these etudes have been used as competition pieces, this workshop is not only about preparing for competitions. We will use them to deepen the fundamentals of clarinet playing musically, including finger movement, breath flow, rhythm, articulation, and phrasing. Recommended not only for students, but also for general learners who want to review the basics, and adult learners who would like to return to etudes after some time away. 📅 Tuesday, August 11 — Mountain Day holiday 🕙 10:00–11:00 💻 Held on Zoom 🎥 Limited-time archive recording available 🎵 Participants will receive a performance video link by the instructor 📘 Required material: J. Lancelot, *21 Etudes* 🎼 Practice with Tomplay is also recommended We are also looking for participants who would like to perform Etude No. 7 or No. 9 during the workshop. You are also welcome to attend as an observer only. Let’s make these etudes more than “just finger exercises,” and use them as a path toward musical expression.
