Practice to build your musicality vol.3 Your practice plan
Thu, Jun 18

So far we discussed about the practice to build your musicality and practice journaling. And Last meeting, I emphasized about "self efficacy". ------ Self-efficacy is confidence in your ability to carry out a specific action, and it grows in a task- and situation-specific way. For learners (e.g., musicians), it supports consistent practice, helps you recover from setbacks by adjusting methods, and improves performance reliability under pressure. It can be built through four sources—mastery experiences, vicarious experiences, evidence-based feedback, and managing physiological/emotional states—supported by practical habits like breaking tasks down, using repeatable routines, tracking progress, comparing to learn (not to self-judge), treating mistakes as experiments, and asking for help. --------- PREPARE: Listen again to the Demnitz you submitted, do a self-evaluation, For example: “I noticed these things / made these discoveries—what should I do about them?” This time, we bring our a bit more detailed practice plan to share and discuss with others. ------ So tell us your usual practice routine and your plan for next few weeks The zoom meeting will be conducted in Japanese. But if there is en speaking participant, I'd be gladly speak both languages. So feel free to join us!
